Dr. Atkins is a native of Bryan-College Station. As an alum of Bryan High School, Dr. Atkins is excited to be back to serve the community that meant so much to him growing up. Dr. Atkins spent four years studying at The University of Texas, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then continued his education at the UT School of Dentistry at Houston, where he achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
During his time at dental school, Dr. Atkins served as president of the Christian Dental Fellowship for 2 years and as his dental school class president for 3 years. He spent four of his Spring Breaks on mission trips, providing dental care to children in Guatemala, where his team cared for approximately 900 children each year. Helping and serving people is one of Dr. Atkins’ joys in life and he is excited to share this passion with the Brazos Valley.
While in dental school, Dr. Atkins was lucky enough to meet his wife who also happened to be one of his classmates, Lindsey Atkins, DDS. When not practicing dentistry, the Atkins enjoy spending much of their time trying to escape the hustle and bustle of Houston, usually with their two dogs, Mia and Charlie. They are involved in their church at Bayou City Fellowship, are avid baseball fans, and are both excited about what opportunities God has prepared for them in Bryan-College Station.
In 2017 Dr. Atkins joined the practice of Dr. Anderson, and strongly believes in the office's commitment to excellence in patient care and their dedication to improving oral health in a compassionate and caring atmosphere. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Texas Dental Association (TDA), and the Brazos Valley District Dental Society (BVDDS).
